Amphibious Jeep Could Be Gator In A Live Action M.A.S.K. Movie

Wyatt sent me a link from the Yahoo Auto site a little while ago and had to share with everyone. As we wrote our script, we had ideas in mind for all of the vehicles. Most are the traditional makes/models from the cartoon including Gator. We thought the new 4-door Jeep Wrangler would be perfect with it's longer body style to hide a boat. But after I saw this article, we might not need to hide a boat at all!

The WaterCar company has designed an amphibous vehicle called the Panther that is screaming to be put into a live action M.A.S.K. movie! Okay, so maybe it's not the traditional pop-up chassis and boat launch that we know from the animated series, but this could be a model that is instantly ready to be filmed. According to the article, it tops out at 80 MPH on land and 38 knots on the water. The wheels retract hydraulically in less than 15 seconds, allowing the vehicle to drive into the water and convert easily into it's boat mode. So what's the price tag you ask? $135,000 for WaterCar to manufacture one for you. When you think of the cost for a Jeep Wrangler, a motorboat, and a trailer and putting that into one complete package for a day of water skiing at the lake, it's cost probably isn't too overly priced. If you are still not convinced it's the real deal, check out this video...

My only question as a promoter of bringing M.A.S.K. to the big screen...does it come in orange?
