More 'Revolution' Images and Plot Details Released For First Two Comic Issues

Comic Book Resources just released a ton of new information and images for the upcoming Revolution comic book featuring M.A.S.K., Transformers, G.I. Joe, and more. You might remember that CBR already released images for several variant covers earlier this month, but now we get a complete look at all covers for the first two issues along with plot summaries for each book. CBR has also revealed that there will be several one-off "Spotlight" issues for Revolution which will include M.A.S.K., Micronauts, and ROM. More supporting material to Revolution's story includes a 100-page The Road to Revolution special issue as well as more origins in ROM #3.

Several new sightings of M.A.S.K. are included in the variant covers of Revolution #1 and #2, but first, here is the official plot for Issue #1:

We've already seen the cover for M.A.S.K.: Revolution #1 SPOTLIGHT. It's the image released with the original IDW announcement for the new M.A.S.K. comic series drawn by Tommy Lee Edwards. Here is the synopsis for the SPOTLIGHT issue:

The origin of M.A.S.K.! Miles Mayhem's decades long plans are finally coming to fruition, but will the revealed secrets he has hidden from Matt Trakker create a new enemy bent on Mayhem's undoing? A special story tying directly into REVOLUTION!

Revolution: The Road to Revolution 100-Page Special #1 gives a glimpse of Thunder Hawk on the cover which would make me assume there might be a M.A.S.K. story inside. However, the official description seems to suggest these will be former Transformers and G.I. Joe stories:

Ten years of TRANSFORMERS and G.I. JOE comics have led to this month's REVOLUTION! This bargain-priced bonanza presents five key stories that have paved the road to the universe being born this month! From the first-ever IDW Transformers comic to the Karen Traviss G.I. Finally, ROM #3 comes with the tagline "Revolution Starts Here" so I would suggest picking up a copy if you want the complete Revolution experience.
