If you have been waiting for the Mobile Defense Unit, the wait is over. Both versions are in stock at BigBadToyStore today. The standard release with Matt Trakker and Bruce Sato is $124.99. The BBTS exclusive is $174.99 and adds two figures you cannot get any other way: Scott Trakker and T-Bob.
Fifty dollars is a real gap, so here is the blunt version. If you want the Trakker family complete, the exclusive is the only route and it is limited to four per customer. If you are buying the rig for the rig, the standard release saves you the premium.

Two more looks at the exclusive set.
The MDU is a semi-truck that opens into a mobile headquarters, which is exactly the fantasy that sold the original. The Loyal Subjects kept the conversion and hung modern tooling on it: rubber tires, vac metal chrome, and printed decals instead of stickers you have to line up yourself.
The Loyal Subjects describe the exclusive finish as metallic magenta with red and orange striping. Side by side with the standard release the difference is subtle in listing photos, so the real reason to pay the premium is the two extra figures, not the paint. Judge the photos yourself on the listing.
The standard release, Matt Trakker and Bruce Sato only. $124.99 at BBTS.
The other three Wave 1 vehicles are all in stock. Bought separately alongside the exclusive MDU they come to $359.96, which is why the bundle at $324.99 is the one to look at first. If you missed it, Brian took a closer look at one of them in our High Tech Helicopter review.
Pre-orders opened in July and the wave ships late October 2026. Four vehicles, two of them renamed:
| Vehicle | Price | |
|---|---|---|
| Hurricane Hondo MacLean |
$84.99 | Pre-order |
| Armored Assault Vehicle (AAV) Cliff Danger, formerly Jackhammer |
$79.99 | Pre-order |
| Gator Dusty Hayes |
$64.99 | Pre-order |
| Stealth Submarine Cycle (SSC) Sly Rax, formerly Piranha |
$49.99 | Pre-order |
Longtime fans will notice the AAV was Jackhammer and the SSC was Piranha. The renames are the kind of thing that happens when trademark registrations lapse, and the toys themselves are unchanged in intent. All four together run $279.96.
