MC Chris Endorses M.A.S.K. Movie!

MC Chris Professes His Love For A M.A.S.K. Movie!

Celebrity endorsements can be good or bad, especially when you are not seeking them out. We've had a couple endorsements from some pretty cool people since we went public with our script and raising awareness for a live action M.A.S.K. movie in general. I simply had to share one that we received on Twitter this past weekend.

Rapper MC Chris gave us a shout on Twitter this past weekend. With 175k+ followers on Facebook and 30k+ on Twitter, it was a pretty big deal for us to get this tweet:

A very cool message and encouragement coming from someone who is working on his own dream of creating his own cartoon show. Check out his bio that we pulled direct from his website:

mc chris is a rapper from the suburbs of Chicago that was once an animator on many of the shows you see on Adult Swim. He was writer, actor, songwriter and animator for Sealab 2021, The Brak Show, and Aqua Teen Hunger Force. He has also voiced characters on several Adult Swim pilots such as Welcome to Eltingville, Cheyenne Cinnamonn and Tight Bros. He was also a producer of on air content for over a year before leaving Williams Street to pursue a career in music.
mc has since crossed America countless times touring as a headlining act. He is considered to be one of the originators of a genre of music called nerdcore. He’s collaborated with Talib Kweli, Andrew WK, Cee-Lo and Childish Gambino. His music has been featured in a Kevin Smith movie and an upcoming DVD; and he has composed several themes for his Smodcast network. Most recently, mc’s song “hoodie ninja” was featured in both a Honda commercial and America’s Funniest Home Videos.
mc raises money to fight cancer and cystic fibrosis. Inspired by his nephew who has CF, mc chris and his fans have raised over $100,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The cancer charity is brand new in honor of mc’s recently deceased father as well as Beastie Boy Adam Yauch.
It’s been mc chris’ lifelong dream to have his own cartoon and he still hasn’t given up. Last year, his fans donated over $60,000 to kickstart his dream and now the cartoon is currently in production in Indiana, Los Angeles and New York. mc chris lives in Brooklyn with his fiancé.

From that we say, THANK YOU to MC Chris! Good luck with your dream as we continue ours! And also a big THANK YOU to the M.A.S.K. Movie fan that was spreading the news at this year's Toy Fair in New York City! (If you were the one, please leave a comment so we can thank you personally!)
